  • Kasai Rinkai Park (Shinsuna River Station)

Kasai Rinkai Park has various facilities such as a Ferris-wheel and an aquarium, and a large site area. There are also many spots where you can enjoy with your family and friends, such as the BBQ venue and the Canoe Slalom Center, which is also the venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Kasai Rinkai Park is the starting point for Arakawa cycling. The view of the sea is wonderful, the pedestrian and bicycle paths are color-coded, and the wide roads make it an ideal place for cycling. Cycling while enjoying the sea breeze and the scent of the sea is the best.
  • Kiyosuna Bridge

The Arakawa Cycling Road that started at Kasai Rinkai Park extends north along a high embankment. The road to Iwabuchi Sluice is very wide, so even those who are not used to cycling can enjoy cycling together. In addition, Koto Ward and Edogawa Ward, have many huge bridges such as Kiyosuna Bridge with a total length of 1,327m that spans Nakagawa and Arakawa, Kasai Bridge with a total length of 727m, and you can also see Tokyo Sky Tree tower near Asakusa from each bridge. I recommend you take a beautiful picture of the Sky Tree from around Hirai Bridge close to the tower, for a magnificent scene.
  • Iwabuchi Sluice Gate

There are two Iwabuchi sluices, the old Iwabuchi sluice and the two actual Iwabuchi sluices that pass above the road. In the first place, this Iwabuchi sluice limits the flood of the Arakawa into the Sumida River. As you climb from the estuary, you will find the light blue current Iwabuchi Sluice and the red old Iwabuchi Sluice behind it. The former Iwabuchi sluice gate has finished its role as a sluice gate now, but it has been preserved as a place for children to learn and a place for people to relax. In 2009, it was certified as a modernization industrial heritage site along with the Arakawa drainage channel. Here you can see the scenery of two rivers, Sumida and Arakawa, so I recommend that it be used as the first resting place. However, since there are no vending machines around, please bring your drinks and snacks and take a break.
  • Saiko (Girder Bridge)

There is a large green park, and a huge bridge here, which is the highlight of the city. If you run on the Arakawa Cycling Road, it can be positioned as an important rest-point. Aya Lake is an artificial lake that was completed in 1997 and functions as an Arakawa reservoir. People who have run along the Arakawa Cycling Road can relax in front of the green environment and lake views. Passing directly east and west is Sakitama Ohashi Bridge, which is 1,485 meters long. It is a cable-stayed bridge that is a type of suspension bridge. The adjacent Saiko Doman Green Park is suitable for children to play as an athletic field. We recommend that you take a break here while looking at the lake.
  • Kamigobashi

Although it is a path from Saiko to the Keno Fureaingu Road, you can enjoy the "countryside" scenery unique to Japan. In spring, rape blossoms and cherry blossoms also bloom along the cycling road, so you can experience the four seasons of Japan with your five senses. I think the Keno Fureaingu Road here is the most appealing to cyclists.
  • Toba Inuma Nature Park (Honda Airport)

After the Keno Fureaingu Road is over and you cross the Hinotsume Bridge and ride on a gravel road, you will find the Honda Airport owned by Honda Airlines. There are mainly small airplanes here, and it is also the place where you can go skydiving closest to central Tokyo. If you book in advance, so if you are adventurous or curious, why not try skydiving while cycling? In addition, the scenery of the setting sun is also wonderful, and if you are lucky, you may be able to see the takeoff and landing of an airplane or helicopter up close.
